Alliance-member agency Penny Lane Centers will hold the Seventh Annual EDGY conference on Nov. 13, 2015, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. This one-day conference is dedicated to evolving practices for professionals who work with GLBTQ (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning) youth and families.
Organizers are now accepting workshop proposals that fall under this year’s theme of “Health and Wellness: Improving the Health, Safety and Well-Being of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) Individuals.”
Each year Penny Lane brings together a variety of experts to share their knowledge and experiences working in this field. EDGY provides an opportunity for government agencies, social service providers, mental health professionals, and families to learn how to create a supportive environment for youth and families through initiatives, education and enlightenment.
Penny Lane held its first EDGY Conference in 2009 and has remained committed to illuminating the unique issues GLBTQ youth and families face.
