Supporting Foster Youth with Intellectual and Developmental; Disabilities
July 24, 11 am-12 noon

The California Department of Social Services Continuum of Care Reform Branch is holding a kickoff webinar to introduce participants to immersive training topics and schedule, as well as introducing presenter Dr. Haleigh Scott. The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.  One-day trainings customized for different audiences will be held regionally starting in August, co-hosted by the RTAs. The trainings are for staff who work in education, developmental services, behavioral health, child welfare, juvenile probation, and all agencies that collaborate as part of a county child and youth system of care. These trainings will provide accurate information about youth with I/DD, highlight important considerations unique to this population, help professionals develop necessary skills, and provide resources for anyone connected to foster youth with I/DD.
