Delia is an MSW intern for the Catalyst Center. She is currently working towards her Master’s in Social Welfare from University of California, Berkeley, and has a Bachelors in Social Work from San Francisco State University. Delia has experience working in a residential treatment setting with children with a history of trauma and behavioral challenges, in a public education setting with children with developmental disabilities, and in County Child Welfare. Delia is also a certified EFH (Emergency Foster Home) and is passionate about supporting parents through the process of reunification. Delia plans on continuing her work with children and families, first in a direct service role, and later in the policy field. Delia is passionate about empowering families and communities, and advocating for structural change that will create more equitable and compassionate systems of care.
