Jasmin's career has been defined by a core conviction: the systems designed to support youth and families too often fail the very people they are meant to serve. Her work has been oriented around closing that gap through policy, program design, and cross-system collaboration. She began her career at the Transformational Change Partnership (TCP) at McGeorge School of Law as a Coordinator during theprogram's pilot cohort, joining at the ground level and growing with the program through four cohorts spanning behavioral health, mental health, education, criminal justice, community schools, and Transition Age Youth. In that time, she was promoted to Assistant Program Manager, where she supported county health and human services teams in implementing state initiatives through human-centered design and community engagement and oversaw more than ten grants and contracts. Her work at TCP gave her a front-row view of how state policy decisions translate, or fail to translate, into real outcomes for the communities those policies are meant to reach.

 

Prior to joining the Alliance, Jasmin served as a Graduate Legislative Intern at California Policy Solutions, a Sacramento lobbying firm, where she drafted position letters, coordinated with Assembly and Senate offices, and provided testimony before policy committees on behalf of clients across multiple policy areas. She has also partnered with Breaking Barriers California, a program focused on advancing services for children and youth in California by reducing barriers to care and driving collaboration within and across systems. This work deepened her commitment to prevention through direct observation of the barriers systems and organizations encounter in trying to serve youth and families effectively.

Jasmin has been a consistent advocate for prevention-oriented, family-centered approaches that address the structural and systemic barriers preventing child welfare-involved youth from accessing the services they need. She is committed to advancing equity-centered, culturally relevant policy solutions.

 

She holds a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in Capital Policy Making from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Race and Resistance Studies from San Francisco State University.

 

Outside of work, Jasmin can be found in the kitchen baking everything from sourdough to brownies, in the gym lifting, or out trying to find her next athletic adventure.
