Amber Macias comes to California Alliance/ Catalyst Center with over 15 years of experience in education, including grant management in mental health programs for youth and adults. In addition, during her time in education, she worked for the Regional Occupational Program, Teacher Support Services, After School Programs and Human Resources. Amber has also worked with students at Sylvan Learning Center, managed a youth summer camp and worked at the children’s center at the YMCA. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling with a PPS Credential in School Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. Her passion has always been to provide support and resources to children, youth and families in the community and is so excited to join the team and support the organization’s mission and goals.
